Josh Cain leads BLX’s software design and development team, BLX Digital. In this role, Josh works with BLX’s senior management to set software roadmaps based on BLX’s needs and strategy, then leads the development and ongoing refinement and maintenance of those systems.
Josh’s skillset – combining product management, software engineering, and financial analysis experience – helps his team deliver sophisticated, useful, and effective software that streamlines BLX’s work and client service processes, both analytical and administrative.
Prior to leading BLX Digital, Josh was a consultant in BLX’s swap and derivatives practice area. In this capacity, Josh performed municipal derivative advisory work consisting of transaction valuation, GASB/FASB accounting compliance analysis, and analytical support for derivative transactions – including new swaps, terminations, restructurings, and distressed scenarios.
