James Hatfield has over 17 years of municipal market compliance experience. His current responsibilities include the preparation of arbitrage rebate and yield restriction compliance reports, as well as spending exception analyses, for some of BLX’s most sophisticated clients. In addition, James supports BLX’s continuing disclosure practice with the development and dissemination of filings.
Prior to joining BLX in 2021, he acquired extensive analytical skills in cash flow analyses, security valuations, and investment agreements at BNY Mellon. James began his career as an arbitrage rebate analyst at First Southwest Company, now Hilltop Securities, thereby affording him a diverse perspective of industry standards.
